Moonlight brings a significant athmosphere to the nightlife. Our concept is a pavilion that fulfills its function both at day and night. It reflects „natural sunlight” at night, and shades in the daytime. The way we made this duality possible is the inject an algae called Noctiluca Scintillans in between a two-layered transluscent canvas.

This plant radiates the gathered sunlight back at nighttime in a characteristics blue colour. Visitors can manually variate the position and density of the light patches with adjusting the structural pillars vertically. This move helps the injected water flow from higher to lower positions.

The pavilion also can be hosted anywhere regardless its context since algaes in general are extremely undemanding and very adaptable.
